Photo Album - February 2012 - Kanakakunnu Palace

The Kanakakunnu Palace is one of the most famous tourist places in Thiruvananthapuram city.  The Museum and the Zoo of Thiruvananthapuram locate it near.  It was the summer palace of erstwhile royal family Travancore and built by King Sri. Moolam Thirunal Maharaja.  Now it’s opened only on the special occasions to the public.  Nishagandhi (an open air auditorium) and Sooryakanthi (an exhibition center) are locating along with this palace.  The Indian National Trust for Arts and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has listed this place as a heritage monument.

Beautiful shots. The brick red colour of the palace blends well with the clear blue sky.

The shots taken from different angles give a good idea about the palace, well covered, Krishna! The close up shots of the greenery are lovely too!

The red colored painting gives a very vintage'ish look to the building. Very appealing too! Lovely flowers and eye catching colors!

Among the pictures of the buildings, I like photo no. 1,5,6. Its very difficult to make a building look good, and you have captured it in the best angles there. Flowers/plants always look good.
